Oh, the fortunate ones who can go through life not truly living,
But just Existing,
Taking one day at a time, just smile - you're simply okay
And while you travel gently toward Heaven,
Golden wings existing within your soul,
Where they wait,
Just simply wait,
For the sun to come and light the way there

But as a soul who has spent life truly living,
Feeling pain and experiences and being so often alone,
And sometimes so very afraid
But still within myself
Perhaps just existing
But for once just really living
And it's okay -
It's really okay
